Bavarian Police Deputy Chief visits Greece to boost security cooperation

Markus Trebes, Deputy Chief of the Bavarian Police, led a delegation to Greece from October 1 to 3, 2026, to strengthen police cooperation between Bavaria and Greece.

During the visit, Trebes met with Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Police, Panagiotis Poupouzas, and officials from departments managing international police cooperation, border protection, and migration. Discussions focused on crime trends, illegal migration, human smuggling, and information exchange.
