Bavarian Regional Cuisine Highlighted in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Event and State Awards

From 21 November to 20 December 2026, Garmisch‑Partenkirchen will host the "GaPa schmeckt’s" culinary programme, showcasing six local top chefs who will create seasonal menus under the theme "Back to the Origin of Taste". The menus, priced at €75 per person (excluding drinks), will be served in six participating restaurants, including Restaurant Husar and the 4Eck. The event partners with Garten Eden of Ohlstadt, which supplies organically grown, chemically‑free vegetables using effective microorganisms.

In parallel, Bavaria’s Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism together with the hotel‑restaurant association DEHOGA awarded 29 gastronomy businesses for excellence in regional, seasonal, and original cuisine. Four establishments from Swabia – Brauereigasthof‑Hotel Laupheimer, Gasthaus Schlemmer, Kühners Landhaus, and Landgasthof zum Adler – received honors in categories such as "Excellent GenussKüche" and "Excellent Beer Culture". The awards are part of the "Genuss Bayern – Heimat des Guten" initiative.

Both the Garmisch‑Partenkirchen programme and the state awards aim to promote Bavarian regional cuisine and support local producers.
