Industrial Fires Damage Facilities in Bavaria and Austria
A fire broke out in a warehouse in the municipality of Ursensollen, located in Bavaria's Amberg‑Sulzbach district. The blaze forced a night‑time response from about 200 emergency personnel and caused roughly €500,000 in property loss. No injuries were reported, and investigators have not yet determined the cause.
In a separate incident, a carpentry workshop in Großarl, Austria, caught fire in a paint‑room that stored flammable solvents. Around 100 firefighters fought the blaze, which was contained after about half an hour. The incident caused extensive smoke damage but no casualties, and the origin of the fire remains unknown.
