Bay of Bengal low pressure threatens rain in Bangladesh

A low-pressure system is expected to form in the southeastern Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas by Tuesday, October 13. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the extension of this system reaches as far as the northern Bay of Bengal.

Forecasts indicate that light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur in parts of the Chattogram division, as well as in certain areas of the Khulna and Barisal divisions. Other parts of the country are expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies.

Temperature trends suggest daytime temperatures may rise slightly across the country, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged. In Dhaka, the weather is predicted to remain mostly dry with clear skies, though humidity may contribute to a sensation of heat.
