Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. casts voice actors and faces spin-off cancellation

Four prominent voice actors—Fumihiko Tatsuki, Kenjiro Tsuda, Tomokazu Seki, and Kenji Nojima—have been cast in the upcoming film "Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. Metropolis o Kakenukero!" (scheduled for release on September 18, 2026). The actors will portray high-ranking officials of the National Police Agency, appearing in the series' signature round-table meeting scenes.

Reports indicate that the production of a planned spin-off drama for the film has been cancelled. This follows a harassment controversy involving actor Jiro Sato and actress Ai Hashimoto, which reportedly led to the cessation of the spin-off project originally intended for digital streaming in August.
