Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. film releases new character preview video

The upcoming Japanese action‑comedy film "Bayside Shakedown N.E.W." (original title "踊る大捜査線 N. E. W.") is set for a nationwide release on 18 September. A promotional video introducing nine new characters has been made public. The clip highlights each character with a keyword such as “heat‑blooded,” “conflict,” “organization,” “lineage,” “happiness,” “disappearance,” “devotion,” and “clairvoyance.”

The film stars Oda Yuji as detective Shunsaku Aoshima and adds new cast members including Masuda Takahisa, Tamura Shiori (of Momoiro Clover Z), Fujiyoshi Natsurin (of Sakurazaka 46), and others. It is directed by Kōichirō Motohiro, scripted by Ryūichi Kimitani, and produced by Chihiro Kameyama. The theme song is Oda Yuji’s “Love Somebody (CINEMA Version).”
