Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. trailer, poster and cast revealed for September release

Fuji TV released the first trailer and official poster for the new "Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. – Metro‑polis Run" film, scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on 18 September 2026. The preview shows a kidnapping case dubbed the “225 incident” in Tokyo, a threat to disperse a toxic virus, and a police force whose investigative priorities are now decided by AI, highlighting a high‑tech, crisis‑driven storyline.

The movie reunites series lead Yūji Oda as Shunsaku Aoshima with many original cast members, including Yūsuke Santa‑Maria, Miki Maya, Miki Mizuno, and others. The theme song is Oda’s own "Love Somebody (CINEMA Version)". Script by Ryūichi Kimizuka, direction by Katsuhiro Motohiro, and production by Chihiro Kameyama are confirmed. Pre‑sale tickets begin 17 July, with various limited‑edition merchandise bundles offered through cinema chains and online retailers.
