BBC rolls out new entertainment slate featuring EastEnders Pride cameo and Strictly Come Dancing return

The BBC announced that the soap opera EastEnders will welcome drag performer La Voix (Christopher Dennis) for a special Pride month cameo, portraying former pub landlady Elaine Peacock. The appearance is part of the show's LGBTQ+ celebrations.

In the same reveal, the BBC outlined its upcoming entertainment lineup, confirming the return of Strictly Come Dancing on iPlayer and BBC One in September 2026 with Emma Willis, professional Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe hosting. Additional programmes highlighted include Celebrity Traitors, Celebrity Apprentice, a celebrity version of Celebrity Race Across the World, and a new series of Celebrity MasterChef featuring chef Locatelli alongside judge Grace Dent.
