The Celebrity Traitors sees high viewership and cast discussions

The BBC reality series ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ continues to draw significant viewership, with recent episodes attracting up to 9.6 million viewers and a 57 per cent audience share. Recent developments include the banishment of comedian Joe Lycett and the recruitment of content creator King Kenny.

Comedian Miranda Hart has used her appearance on the show to discuss her experiences living with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and Lyme disease. She described the physical challenges of the competition and the ‘invisible’ nature of her illnesses.

Production rules for the show are reportedly strict, governing contestants' access to news, social media, and even supervised phone calls and smoking breaks to maintain the game's integrity. Meanwhile, the BBC has secured a deal with Studio Lambert to keep the franchise on air until at least 2030, with plans for future seasons and ongoing applications for the standard version of ‘The Traitors’.
