BBVA Digital Banks and eDreams form strategic travel and finance alliance

BBVA Digital Banks and eDreams ODIGEO have entered into a strategic alliance to integrate digital banking services with travel experiences. The partnership will initially launch in Germany and Italy.

As part of the first phase in Germany, new BBVA Germany customers will receive one year of Opodo Prime Plus for free, a subscription valued at 119.99 euros that provides discounts on flights, hotels, trains, and car rentals. Additionally, BBVA Germany customers can perform card payments in foreign currencies without exchange fees.

Murat Kalkan, Global Head of BBVA Digital Banks, stated that the agreement marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration to explore integrated finance and travel products. Frédéric Esclapez, Chief Marketing Officer of eDreams ODIGEO, noted that the alliance combines the expertise of both companies to explore new opportunities at the intersection of these two sectors.
