BCCI in talks with Google Gemini and Spinny for title rights
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is in direct negotiations with potential corporate partners, including Google Gemini, Spinny, and SBI Life, to secure title sponsorship for its home international season. This follows an initial bidding process that concluded on August 13, 2026, which failed to produce significant interest or offers that met the board's expectations.
The new rights cycle is set to run for two years until March 31, 2028, covering approximately 35 matches, including 10 Tests, 12 ODIs, and 13 T20Is. The BCCI has set a reserve price of approximately INR 4.75 to 4.85 crore per match, representing an increase over the current sponsor, IDFC First Bank, which pays roughly INR 4.2 crore per match.
At the established base price, the BCCI expects to earn at least INR 171 crore from the title sponsorship over the two-year period. The upcoming home season is scheduled to begin on September 27 with a series against the West Indies.
