Beach Please! Festival launches NIBIRU resort in Costinești, drawing 90,000 attendees
The 2026 edition of Romania’s Beach Please! festival marked the official opening of the new NIBIRU resort in Costinești. On the opening day, known as Day 0, more than 90,000 people gathered for a multi‑day program that combines concerts, a fashion district, restaurants, playgrounds and sport facilities.
The festival’s line‑up featured international headline acts such as Playboi Carti, Future, Yeat, Don Toliver and Tyla, with additional performances by local artists. Day 2 recorded a peak attendance of 134,000 spectators, while the event attracted around 30,000 foreign tourists from countries including the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Italy and Bulgaria. Organisers highlighted themes of responsibility and safety, incorporating anti‑drug messaging.
A separate incident involved a young attendee who said he was removed by security after the cancellation of Playboi Carti’s show, underscoring the heightened tensions during the high‑profile event.
