Bahia reaches Brasileirão Feminino semifinals after penalty win over Palmeiras

Bahia has made history by becoming the first team from the Northeast to reach the semifinals of the Brasileirão Feminino A1. Following a 1-1 draw in regulation time against Palmeiras at Arena Barueri, the match was decided by a penalty shootout, which Bahia won 5-4.

During the match, Raíssa Bahia scored for Palmeiras, while Dan Nunes equalized for Bahia. The decisive moment came in the shootout when goalkeeper Yanne saved a penalty from Tainá Maranhão, securing the victory for the ‘Mulheres de Aço’. Bahia will now face the winner of the match between Corinthians and Cruzeiro in the semifinals.

Other matches in the quarterfinals include Ferroviária against Flamengo, with Flamengo holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg.
