Beatles' 'Rubber Soul' Reissue Includes Lost John Lennon Track 'Little Girl
The Beatles' 1965 album Rubber Soul will be reissued on 2 October in multiple formats, including CD, vinyl, and a super‑deluxe edition featuring four CDs and five LPs. The collection has been remastered by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, offering new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes alongside the original mono version and the U.S. Capitol release.
A highlight of the reissue is the inclusion of an unreleased John Lennon demo titled “Little Girl,” recorded in 1965 with only acoustic guitar accompaniment. The two‑minute‑17‑second track was discovered in Lennon's personal archive by Martin while reviewing material provided by Sean Lennon. The song will appear for the first time on the super‑deluxe edition, accompanied by a hardcover book with rare photos and commentary from Paul McCartney and Lennon’s own words.
The release adds previously unheard demos, session outtakes, and home recordings, offering fans a deeper look at the band's creative evolution during the mid‑60s.
