Beetaloo Energy and AGIG partner on 750km Northern Territory gas pipeline

Beetaloo Energy Australia Limited has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) to collaborate on gas transportation and midstream infrastructure. The partnership aims to conduct preliminary assessments for a proposed 750-kilometre gas pipeline designed to connect the Carpentaria Gas project to demand centres in the Darwin area.

The infrastructure is intended to support the Beetaloo Digital development, a vertically integrated gas-to-power AI data centre campus located at the company’s Waddell site in the Northern Territory. The proposed pipeline is expected to be situated within the Northern Territory Government’s Territory Energy Link common-user infrastructure corridor to potentially streamline development.

AGIG intends to lead the design and planning of the pipeline and associated facilities. This collaboration follows Beetaloo Energy’s recent acquisition of exclusivity over 185 hectares of strategic land for the data centre project and a previous agreement with Halliburton.
