Beheira Police Directorate Announces Wide‑Scale Officer Reassignments

On 2 August 2026 the Beheira Governorate security directorate published a comprehensive list of internal transfers for police officers, heads of investigations and criminal‑search divisions. The reshuffle is part of the Ministry of Interior’s annual movement intended to inject new blood into leadership positions and draw on diverse security expertise.

The reassignments, overseen by Major General Ahmed Al‑Sukran, director of the Criminal Search Department, include the appointment of Major General Mahmoud Jamal as assistant to the Beheira governor, Major Ahmed Abu Younis as head of the drug‑control department, and numerous colonels and majors to lead various police stations and specialized units across the governorate. Additional appointments cover heads of criminal investigations, deputies for drug control and operations, as well as media‑relations roles, affecting precincts such as Bandar Damanhour, Kafr El‑Dawar, Ittay Al‑Baroud, Rashid, and others.
