Behr Paint Company names Grounded as 2027 Color of the Year

Behr Paint Company has announced ‘Grounded’ (T27-01) as its 2027 Color of the Year. The shade is described as an earthy olive green that sits between olive and moss, featuring subtle brown undertones designed to evoke a sense of calm and a connection to the natural world.

Grounded serves as the anchor for the Behr 2027 Color Trends Palette, which includes a variety of warm neutrals, earthy tones, muted pinks, clay hues, and airy blues. The palette also features seven legacy colors: Coastal Beige, Wheat Grass, Environmental, Denim Light, Smokey Claret, Sarsaparilla, and Mozart.

The announcement also marks the 10th anniversary of Behr’s Color of the Year program. To commemorate the decade of the program, the company is making a $250,000 donation.
