Beşiktaş intensifies chase for goalkeeper Alexander Nübel
Beşiktaş’s scouting director Eduard Graf met with the agent of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, Stefan Back, confirming the Turkish club’s intention to sign the 29‑year‑old. Back said Nübel’s future will be decided by the player, but noted that “Beşiktaş is determined to bring him in.” Negotiations with Bayern focus on the €20 million release clause; the club’s sport director Max Eberl has indicated the fee could be reduced if the amount is deemed reasonable. Nübel, who is under contract with Bayern until 2029, has reportedly accepted the terms proposed by Beşiktaş and is prepared to move to Istanbul. The transfer would give Beşiktaş its first foreign goalkeeper and could see the player join the squad before the pre‑season camp slated for 20 July.
