Turkish football clubs face heavy PFDK sanctions and fines

The Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) has issued a series of sanctions against various clubs in the Turkish Super Lig and 1. Lig. Beşiktaş received a significant fine of 3.5 million TL due to social media posts deemed damaging to the reputation of football and its institutions. Consequently, Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı was handed a 15-day ban, while Vice President Hakan Daltaban received a 20-day ban and a 2.5 million TL fine.

Other clubs, including Erzurumspor FK, Galatasaray, and Kocaelispor, faced various penalties such as electronic ticket blocks for fans, fines for improper stadium management, and sanctions for unsportsmanlike behavior. In the 1. Lig, 14 teams were fined for various disciplinary infractions. Additionally, referee Mustafa Bilgin Delibaş received an 8-month ban due to betting-related activities.

Separately, Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan addressed recent club developments, clarifying that there is no conflict with manager Fatih Tekke following a recent loss. Doğan also outlined the club's transfer strategy, which focuses on acquiring players with high resale potential and balancing experienced stars with young talent to achieve success in the Conference League.
