Bekasi BPBD distributes 9.7 million liters of water for drought relief

The Bekasi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has distributed 9.7 million liters of clean water to residents facing drought conditions as of September 10, 2026.

According to Dodi Supriadi, Head of Emergency and Logistics at BPBD Bekasi, the water supply is sourced from various parties, including the Bekasi Regency Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), which has contributed 1.2 million liters and established water collection points to facilitate distribution.

To support the relief efforts, BPBD has deployed three to four tankers daily to serve the southern region, while additional fleets are being mapped to assist residents in the northern part of the regency. The agency is prioritizing household needs via tank trucks and using specialized containers for drinking water distribution.
