Beko Siena unions demand clarity on reindustrialization plan
Labor unions, including Fim Cisl, Fiom Cgil, and Uilm Uil, are demanding clarity regarding the reindustrialization plan for the Beko plant in Siena. Following statements from acting CEO Dr. Corradi, it was revealed that two industrial entities, Tea Group of Signa and Galenica Senese of Monteriggioni, have expressed interest in the site.
Union representatives expressed concern that these developments were not shared with them in advance, creating uncertainty and false expectations among workers. They are calling for concrete details regarding planned investments, production types, timelines, and guaranteed job numbers. A ministerial meeting is scheduled for October 1 to address these issues and seek transparency through official institutional channels.
