Bela Vista de Goiás establishes municipal literacy policy

Bela Vista de Goiás has established the AlfaMais program through Municipal Law No. 2.154 to guide literacy and reading initiatives within the municipal school system. The policy aims to organize permanent educational actions for the early years of basic education.

The program focuses on continuous professional development for educators and the monitoring of student progress to identify and address learning difficulties. It also includes strategies for learning recovery to assist students with educational gaps, emphasizing equity and inclusion to strengthen the right to literacy.
