Belchior celebrated on 80th anniversary with book relaunch and radio special

The life and legacy of Brazilian singer-songwriter Belchior are being honored to mark what would have been his 80th birthday. Rádio Cultura Brasil is hosting a special programming event titled ‘Coração Selvagem – Belchior 80’, featuring archival interviews, artist testimonials, and discussions regarding his musical trajectory.

In Rio de Janeiro, a second edition of the book ‘Viver é melhor que sonhar: os últimos caminhos de Belchior’ by Chris Fuscaldo and Marcelo Bortoloti is being launched. The work chronicles the artist's period of seclusion in Uruguay and southern Brazil after stepping away from public life. The launch event also serves to preview a film adaptation directed by Eduardo Albergaria, which is scheduled for release in December.
