Belford Roxo launches initiative to reduce medical exam waiting lists

The municipality of Belford Roxo has launched the ‘Mutirão Sua Vez’ initiative to reduce waiting lists for medical examinations. Led by Mayor Mariana Canella, the program utilizes a centralized service center to contact registered residents via telephone and WhatsApp to schedule appointments directly.

The initiative aims to increase healthcare access and organization by providing specific dates, times, and locations for exams. To expand capacity, the program includes weekend scheduling. The types of examinations covered include endoscopy, cataract surgery, ultrasonography, mammography, and various laboratory tests.
