Onhaye discovery: Bodies of missing father and son found in Belgium

Belgian authorities have discovered the bodies of 29-year-old Bryan Brigou and his five-year-old son, Tyméo, in Onhaye, Namur province. The pair had been missing since June 27.

The discovery followed a search triggered by new witness testimony. On Monday, August 24, police found the remains of a child in a densely vegetated embankment near the N97 road, approximately two kilometers from where the father's car had been found abandoned on June 28. Evidence found at the scene, including clothing, suggested the child was Tyméo.

On Tuesday, August 25, a second body was located several dozen meters away from the first, on the opposite side of the N97. Investigators believe this second body belongs to Bryan Brigou.

The Namur public prosecutor's office stated that all hypotheses are being investigated, including the possibility of a crime, an accident, or a murder-suicide. Forensic autopsies have been ordered to formally identify the remains and determine the exact causes and circumstances of death.
