Belgium hosts cancer fundraising events in Aalst and Arlon
Cancer awareness and fundraising events are taking place in Belgium, with Levensloop Aalst and Relais pour la Vie mobilizing support for those affected by the disease.
The tenth anniversary edition of Levensloop Aalst has concluded, raising a preliminary total of 192,436 euros. The event, which centered on ‘fighters’—individuals living with or who have survived cancer—moved to a new location at an athletics track to create a more intense atmosphere. The final fundraising total will not be officially closed until December 31, 2026.
In Arlon, the Relais pour la Vie is scheduled for October 3 and 4 at Place Léopold. The 24-hour event involves teams walking or running continuously to raise funds for the Fondation contre le Cancer. This edition specifically honors ‘Battants’ (fighters) and ‘Aidants Proches’ (close caregivers), highlighting the essential role of family and friends who support patients through their daily lives.
