Belgium's Pensioenlijn Switches to New Phone Number in September 2026

From 1 September 2026 the free Pensioenlijn telephone line (1765) will be replaced by the standard number 02 225 17 65 for callers in Belgium (and +32 2 225 17 65 from abroad). The change is part of a cost‑saving measure that the federal pension service expects to save more than €1 million per year, while keeping the quality of assistance unchanged.

Opening hours remain Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑12:00, and the range of services – phone, email and online portals – stays the same. Special provisions continue for vulnerable callers, including the option to request a free callback or leave a voice message for later follow‑up.
