Belgium pension helpline service changes

The Belgian Federal Pension Service (SPF Pensions) has transitioned its free ‘Pensioenlijn’ telephone service (1765) to a standard number, 02 225 17 65, effective September 1, 2026.

This change is a cost-saving measure expected to save the involved institutions—SPF, Inasti, and Sigedis—more than €1 million annually. While the service, operating hours, and available contact methods such as email and online portals remain unchanged, callers are now subject to standard telephony rates.
