Belgrade public transport gets record 2,800 complaints on missing air‑conditioning
Since June 19, the city transport union "Centar" has recorded 2,815 complaints from Belgrade residents about non‑functioning air‑conditioning in public‑transport vehicles, with 340 of those filed in the last three days alone. Union president Ivan Baković warned that temperatures above 40 °C are endangering the health of drivers and passengers, calling the situation an "alarm".
Baković said the union will monitor the response of city inspection services and the public‑utility company "Upravljanje javnim prevozom Beograd", and plans to publish a list of the worst operators whose vehicles received the most complaints. He urged citizens to continue reporting violations through the "Zajedno na put" portal.
