Belgrade public transport routes altered amid road works in June 2024
The City of Belgrade announced extensive changes to bus and tram services as road works proceed in New Belgrade, Vračar and Zvezdara. From 7 June to 13 June, sections of major streets will be closed to traffic, prompting temporary bus stops such as “Nikole Dobrovića 1” and “Nikole Dobrovića 2” and detours for lines 65, 70, 72, 82, 612, 613, 74, 75, 76, 708 and 72N. Line 607 will be rerouted via Bulevar heroja, Tošin bunar and the M11 highway to Nikola Tesla Airport. Tram line 5 is suspended, line 6 is reinforced, line 2L runs on its regular streets, and line 8 is temporarily cancelled while line 12 operates as 12L on a shortened route to the Tašmajdan roundabout. In Zvezdara, a circular bus line 21A replaces the suspended trolleybus line 21, circulating between Trg Slavija and the Učiteljsko naselje. Additional adjustments affect lines 83, 20 and several others during the works.
These changes aim to maintain public‑transport continuity while the right‑most traffic lanes of streets such as Partizanske avijacije and Marka Čelebonovića are closed for reconstruction. The temporary measures are in effect until mid‑June, after which normal service is expected to resume.
