Belgrade's Ada Ciganlija to host first Serbian panoramic balloon
The first panoramic balloon in Serbia, and potentially the Balkans, is scheduled to begin flights at Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade within approximately ten days. The attraction is intended to promote Expo 2027 and is expected to remain at the location for at least ten years following the event.
Produced by the French company Aerophile, the balloon will reach an altitude of 150 meters, offering passengers a view of Belgrade, the Sava River, and the future Expo 2027 site. The gondola is designed to accommodate up to 30 passengers at a time.
Flight operations will be subject to weather conditions and coordinated with the Hydrometeorological Institute to ensure safety. Additionally, to protect the local ecology, flights will be suspended between 14:30 and 15:30 to avoid disturbing the flight paths of the Little Owl, a protected bird species that migrates over the area.
Ticket pricing is set at 1,800 dinars for adults and those over 12, 1,400 dinars for children aged 3 to 12, while children under three will enter for free.
