Tennis player Ben Shelton and Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman are facing challenges in maintaining their relationship due to their demanding professional schedules. Shelton, who recently reached the US Open men’s final, described the current period as a ‘most grueling’ and ‘critical’ phase as both athletes focus on advancing their careers.

Shelton noted that the exhaustion from high-level competition often leaves little energy for personal time. During Shelton’s run in New York, Rodman traveled frequently to support him, reportedly flying back and forth between her NWSL commitments and the tournament up to six or seven times. Despite the difficulties, Shelton expressed appreciation for having a partner who understands the pressures of being an elite athlete.
