Benfica SAD proposes General Assembly to expand corporate scope

Benfica SAD has announced a proposal to hold a General Assembly on September 30. The proposed agenda, communicated to the CMVM, includes five key points: reviewing the 2025/26 reports and accounts, determining the application of results, and holding a vote of confidence in the administration, supervisory board, and official auditor for the period ending June 30, 2026.

Significant structural changes are also proposed, including an amendment to the company's corporate purpose. The new scope would explicitly include educational programs, technical football consultancy, innovation project management, and talent production. These changes aim to support initiatives like the Benfica Institute of Sporting Excellence to expand the club's international influence. Additionally, the club seeks to renew authorization for capital increases of up to 50 million euros for a five-year period to provide management with greater financial flexibility.
