Bengaluru police arrest two for luxury car theft ring

Bengaluru City Police have arrested two individuals for their involvement in a series of luxury car thefts across India. The suspects allegedly used sophisticated equipment to create duplicate keys to unlock high-end vehicles.

The investigation began after a resident of Chennai reported his Toyota Fortuner stolen from a hotel parking area in Singasandra on June 26. Following the report, police traced the suspects to the Belagavi-Pune National Highway. While one suspect initially fled with the vehicle, a female accomplice was apprehended, and the primary suspect was later arrested near Silk Board in Bengaluru.

Authorities stated that the stolen vehicles were being sold to associates in various locations within Rajasthan, including Barmer and Balotra. A stolen Toyota Fortuner, valued at Rs 35 lakh, was successfully recovered from the Aleti area in Rajasthan. The accused are reportedly linked to 21 previous criminal cases.
