Bengaluru police seize 317 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.78 crore

Kumbalagodu police in Bengaluru have arrested two individuals for transporting 317 kg of ganja. The seizure, which included an Innova car, is valued at approximately Rs 1.78 crore, with a market value estimated at Rs 3.17 crore.

Acting on informant intelligence, officers intercepted the vehicle near the Eidgah Ground at Kambipura on October 12. The suspects reportedly traveled from Kerala to Bengaluru, hired a self-drive rental car, and then traveled to Odisha to purchase the narcotics at a low price. Their intended destination was Kumaramangalam in Kerala, where they planned to sell the substance at a higher price.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigations are ongoing to identify the suppliers in Odisha and any other individuals involved in the procurement and sale of the drugs.
