Bengkulu Selatan fire victims receive cash aid as Indonesia records other fire incidents
Victims of two separate village fires in Bengkulu Selatan received cash assistance of 1 million rupiah per family from the regional "Membara" program, with local officials also planning house‑rehabilitation aid. The aid, delivered by Regent Rifai Tajuddin, follows earlier emergency relief distribution.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at the Reuleut gas station in Bireuen during a Pertalite refuelling, engulfing one fuel dispenser and a motorcycle. No injuries were reported, and the blaze was quickly extinguished by station staff and nearby residents using a fire extinguisher. Police are investigating the cause.
