Beni Suef Agriculture Directorate intensifies field and regulatory activities

The Beni Suef Directorate of Agriculture has implemented a series of field, regulatory, and advisory activities during the third week of September to support the agricultural sector and prepare for the winter season. Under the supervision of Undersecretary Mohamed Amin, the directorate focused on monitoring production requirements, protecting agricultural land, and expanding safe pest control methods.

Regulatory efforts included 12 inspections of feed shops to ensure compliance with specifications and price controls, alongside inspections of feed and additive factories in industrial zones. To protect land, authorities removed 14 cases of illegal encroachments. Additionally, the directorate managed the Farmer's Card system, with over 266,000 applications registered.

Agricultural extension services were also prioritized through initiatives such as ‘Better Cotton’ in Ihnasia and seminars in Nasser to improve sugar beet productivity. The directorate has also received wheat seeds in preparation for the upcoming winter season and continues to monitor agricultural service complexes as part of the ‘Decent Life’ presidential initiative.
