Benjamin Parker identified as suspect in Oregon quintuple homicide

Authorities have identified 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker as the suspect in a quintuple homicide discovered at a rural property near Forest Grove, Oregon. The investigation began Saturday morning when emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire and discovered the bodies of five people and several animals.

The victims have been identified as Parker’s girlfriend, 26-year-old Stella Kimsey; her grandmother, 85-year-old Mary Kimsey; her mother, 60-year-old Rowan Kimsey; Stella’s best friend, 26-year-old Linsey Haraldsen; and Haraldsen’s partner, 27-year-old Alvin Chu. Investigators stated that Parker allegedly shot all five victims multiple times and attempted to set fires at the scene and near the bodies. Additionally, two dogs and two cats were found shot to death, while a third cat was euthanized after being wounded.

Parker allegedly fled the scene and was later found dead in his vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to investigators, Parker called his mother on Saturday night to confess to the killings, stating he had been planning the attack for some time. While a specific motive was not provided, reports indicate that Stella Kimsey and Parker had been involved in a significant argument shortly before the incident.
