The victims were identified as Stella Jade Kimsey, 26; her mother, Rowan Karla Kimsey, 60; her grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Kimsey, 85; Stella’s best friend, Linsey Mae Haraldsen, 26; and Haraldsen’s partner, Alvin Raymond Chu, 27. Investigators stated that the suspect allegedly shot all five victims multiple times and attempted to set fires at the scene. Several pets were also killed.

Benjamin Charles Parker, 36, was identified as the suspect. Parker, who was Stella Kimsey’s boyfriend, was found dead in his vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reports indicate Parker called his mother to confess to the killings, stating he had been planning the attack for some time. While a specific motive was not officially provided, investigators noted that Kimsey and Parker had been involved in a significant argument shortly before the incident. Washington County Sheriff Caprice Massey described the crime scene as ‘exceptionally complex’ but stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
