Bensheim and Hesse towns organize local cycling tours

The Green Party in Bensheim began its summer programme with a bike tour on 30 June, visiting vacant residential and commercial buildings to highlight the lack of affordable housing and discuss possible uses of the empty properties.

On 28 June, a 65‑kilometre “Radlertag” route was opened linking the municipalities of Borken, Jesberg, Neuental and Bad Zwesten in Hesse. The route features 20 stations with food, entertainment and a stamp‑collecting pass, encouraging participants to explore the region’s attractions throughout the day and beyond.

Both events aim to promote local engagement and raise awareness of regional issues through community cycling activities.
