Bentley Motors to unveil first electric luxury SUV Torcal

Bentley Motors has announced the upcoming global unveiling of the ‘Torcal’, the brand’s first pure electric luxury urban SUV. The vehicle is set to be revealed on September 23 at 19:19 UK time, a timing chosen to honor the company’s founding year of 1919.

Production of the Torcal will take place at the Bentley Crewe headquarters in the United Kingdom. The company is renovating a historic 1938 building into a ‘Dream Factory’ to house a dedicated production line. This new facility will combine traditional handcraftsmanship with advanced automation, including the implementation of an Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) system to transport vehicle bodies.

The development of the Torcal is part of a broader £350 million investment plan by Bentley. The vehicle also represents the first major output from the brand’s newly established design studio, which opened in 2025 in a renovated 1939 building. The Crewe campus remains a vital economic hub, employing over 4,000 people.
