Bento Gonçalves hosts Festa do Colono celebrating local agriculture and heritage

On Saturday, 25 April, the Via del Vino in downtown Bento Gonçalves became the main stage for the Festa do Colono. The event showcased regional culture and traditions with live music, a display of family‑run agroindustries, and an exhibition of tractors, drones and other agricultural machinery.

Performances included the Orquestra de Faria Lemos, the folk group Trevisani Nel Mondo and the Group Cavatappi, highlighting the Italian immigrant legacy of the Serra Gaúcha. Attendees also enjoyed free polenta and bergamot, and could purchase local wines, sparkling drinks, cheeses and other colonial products.

Radio Difusora 97.3 FM broadcast a special live program from the venue, inviting listeners to participate in giveaways and celebrate the day dedicated to colonists and drivers. The festivities, organized by the municipal government, continued through the afternoon, drawing residents and visitors alike.
