Benue State Governor commends DSS over Ayilamo attack arrests

Governor Hyacinth Alia has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) following the arrest of three suspects allegedly linked to an attack on the Ayilamo community in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The attack resulted in the deaths of several innocent civilians and four police officers. Governor Alia described the incident as a “despicable attack on the peace-loving people of Ayilamo” and a significant threat to the security and stability of Benue State.

In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, the Governor urged the DSS to intensify its investigation to uncover the full circumstances of the incident. He also extended condolences to the victims' families and the leadership of the Nigerian Police Force for the loss of the four officers.
