Beograd hosts Permanent Conference of Organized Crime Prosecutors

The Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (TOK), in collaboration with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, hosted the Annual Meeting of the Permanent Conference of Organized Crime Prosecutors in Belgrade on October 22, 2026. The event marked the tenth anniversary of the Declaration of Intent, which established the foundation for regional informal cooperation and enhanced operational efforts against organized crime.

The Permanent Conference currently includes 15 organized crime prosecutor's offices from 14 European countries. During the meeting, the Special Prosecutor's Office for Corruption and Crime of the Kingdom of Spain officially joined the conference by signing a Declaration of Intent, and an official invitation was extended to France to join the network.

Participants emphasized the need for increased European cooperation to address modern criminal challenges, including money laundering through virtual assets, high-tech crime, and the cross-border management of electronic evidence. The conference was opened by Serbian Chief Prosecutor for Organized Crime Mladen Nenadić, Italian prosecutor Federico Perone Capano, OSCE Mission Head Marcel Peško, and US Chargé d'Affaires Aleksandar Titolo.
