Argentine towns roll out road repaving and drainage upgrades
The Municipality of Berazategui is repaving a 700‑meter stretch of Dr. Luis Agote Avenue in Ranelagh and installing new storm‑drain pipes, work that will keep the road closed to traffic until December. The project, funded by the municipality and driven by Mayor Carlos Balor, also includes hydraulic works to improve water runoff.
In the nearby Villa España district of Berazategui, a new hydraulic intervention on street 146 will add storm‑drain mouths and connect to existing conduits, similarly financed and overseen by Mayor Balor.
Mayor Leo Nardini of Malvinas Argentinas visited the first stage of a pavement and hydraulic upgrade in the Iparraguirre neighbourhood of Grand Bourg, covering four blocks with 2,800 m² of concrete pavement and 260 m of pipe, plus drainage chambers.
The Río Grande municipality confirmed that its new natatorium – an Olympic‑size 25 × 50 m pool holding over two million liters – is on track to be filled by March‑April 2027, with a dedicated gas connection and a budget exceeding 3 billion pesos.
In Sáenz Peña, mayor Bruno Cipolini inspected channel lining on street 45 in the San Martín barrio and the installation of an electric pumping station, part of a city‑wide program to reinforce drainage across multiple neighborhoods.
