Argentina expands municipal infrastructure upgrades

Entities: Quilmes Municipality · San Lorenzo Municipality · Santos Vega neighborhood · Leo Nardini · Comodoro Rivadavia Municipality

Overview

The municipal infrastructure programme continued through July 2026. In Comodoro Rivadavia the city handed over a new two‑bedroom social‑housing unit in the Don Bosco neighbourhood to a family with disabled parents and four children. Provincial Governor Claudio Poggi signed a contract to build a perimeter fence at School No 69 ‘Maestra Olga Ester Sarden’, part of a drive to make the three‑year‑old classroom universal by 2028 and reach full enrollment.

The Santa Fe Mil Aulas rollout added four classrooms in the 9 de Julio department, and the Provincial Council of Education completed heating upgrades at CPES N° 42 and EPP N° 88 with high‑efficiency boilers and radiators, extending earlier work. Lincoln began construction of a renovated “Casa de la Música” including an auditorium and six classrooms, together with a new nursing‑education block at the CIC “San José”.

Road and utility works progressed with the paving of 20 asphalt blocks in Quilmes Oeste’s Santos Vega and the renovation of access roads to the Puerto. The final stage of the Bouchard‑neighbourhood sewage system, linking 260 households to a new pump station, was completed. Additional projects included hydraulic works in Berazategui and the refurbishment of a fish‑processing plant in Beruti. All actions remain financed under the National Educational Financing Law through 2027, extending the earlier school, water‑management and transport upgrades.
