WXV Global Series 2026 officially presented in Fontanafredda
The 2026 edition of the WXV Global Series rugby tournament has been officially presented at the Omero Tognon stadium in Fontanafredda. The competition is set to begin on Saturday, September 19, featuring a match between the Italian women's national team and Japan.
As part of the tournament, the Italian women's team will play two home matches in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region against Japan and South Africa. Following these fixtures, the team will travel to the United States for test matches against the American national team in Mansfield and Nashville. The regional government has expressed support for the event, highlighting its role in promoting women's rugby and providing international visibility to the territory.
