Berkeley hosts Palestinian Prisoners Day event with video from convicted bomber

UC Berkeley’s Law Students for Justice in Palestine organized an event marking Palestinian Political Prisoners Day that included a video from a convicted attempted car bomber. The gathering highlighted the group’s stance on Palestinian prisoners and brought attention to the controversy surrounding the speaker's background.

Separately, Israa Jaabis, who spent 11 years in prison after being convicted of attempting to detonate a suicide bomb in Jerusalem, addressed UC Berkeley law students on Monday. Her appearance at the campus adds another dimension to ongoing campus discussions over Israel and Palestinian issues.
