Berlin commemorates victims of Nazi-era crimes

Berlin is hosting various commemorative events to honor victims of National Socialist persecution.

On September 4, an event will be held in Berlin to remember the victims of Aktion T4, the systematic murder and forced sterilization of nearly 200,000 people with physical, mental, or psychological disabilities. The program, named after its administrative headquarters at Tiergartenstraße 4, was carried out by a network of scientists, doctors, and officials.

Additionally, on November 9, a memorial walk will take place in Baumschulenweg to mark the anniversary of the November Pogroms of 1938. The event involves visiting Stolpersteine to honor Jewish individuals persecuted and murdered by the Nazi regime. The commemoration includes musical tributes and interreligious dialogue to stand against antisemitism and hatred.
