Berlin police hunt suspect after fatal shooting at Bahnhof Zoo

Police in Berlin are conducting an intensive manhunt for a 29-year-old suspect following a fatal shooting at Bahnhof Zoo. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Kamal C., died at the scene on Sunday night after being shot during a dispute at Hardenbergplatz.

Investigators from the homicide commission searched an apartment in Friedrichshain on Monday evening, seizing evidence and a gray Audi S8 that witnesses reported seeing at the crime scene. The victim belonged to a large Arabic family with Lebanese origins, and authorities are investigating potential links to organized crime clans.

While the exact motive for the escalation remains unclear, the victim had previous convictions related to drug trafficking. A memorial service was held for the deceased at a mosque in Neukölln.
